Kimbrel Consulting Services LLC

David is the owner and sole employee of KCS LLC. This means that the principal engineer will always have your project’s full attention. David is a high-level CADD operator, creating drawings quickly and efficiently to help keep project fees low. David is licensed in Idaho and Washington and pursues work throughout both states.
David has over 30 years of electrical engineering experience, during which he has completed electrical work on thousands of projects. Project types include higher education, classroom facilities, laboratory spaces, commercial, retail, restaurants, hotels and motels, office spaces, warehouses, multi-family residential, data centers, healthcare, and more.

David Kimbrel, P.E.

David Kimbrel, owner and operator of Kimbrel Consulting Services LLC, is a graduate of the Colorado School of Mines. His previous employers include Lockheed Martin, Washington State University, and Given and Associates (a small consulting firm). Around October of 2017, he formed his own company, Kimbrel Consulting Services LLC.

David is skilled at power, lighting, fire alarm, telecom, HVAC coordination, electrical equipment layout and specification, electric utility coordination, computer aided drafting, and more.

David is currently a licensed professional engineer in Idaho and Washington State.

David enjoys boating, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family.

Renovation of approximately 11,000 square feet for a new church in Pullman, Washington. Electrical design included power, lighting, fire alarm, HVAC coordination, and telecom.

Type: Education

Installation of a 54kW water booster heater at Lincoln Middle School in Pullman, Washington. Electrical design included power for the booster heater as well as equipment specification and layout.

McCluskey Services

McCluskey Addition

Location: Pullman, WA
Type: Office

A 2006 office area addition to the McCluskey Services Building on the WSU Pullman campus. It is approximately 7,500 square feet. Electrical design included power, lighting, telecom, fire alarm, and select equipment for connection to the backup generator at a 24/7 dispatch center.

Sloan Hall

Sloan A/V Upgrades

Location: Pullman, WA
Type: Higher Education

Audio/Visual systems upgrades of 11 classrooms and one auditorium in Sloan Hall on the WSU campus in Pullman, Washington. New systems consisted of new podiums, speakers, cameras, projectors, microphones, central A/V equipment, and electric projection screens. The areas were also renovated to include new chair rails, acoustical ceiling tiles, paint, flooring, ceilings, lighting, and HVAC modifications. The desk/chair combos were also replaced in the auditorium.

University Store Addition

University Stores Addition

Type: Retail

An approximately 15,000 square foot addition to the existing University Stores facility on the WSU campus in Pullman, Washington. The addition consisted of new warehouse space, offices, a conference room, a liquid nitrogen bunkhouse, and reception area. Electrical design included lighting, power, telecom, HVAC coordination, as well as new power and telecom services and new 5kV primary.

Arvada Water Tower Village

Location: Arvada, CO
Type: Multi-Family Housing

This project consisted of 10 rowhouses ranging in size from 3 units to 10 units, a 72 unit apartment building, 8 six-unit condominiums, a clubhouse, and a swimming pool. Electrical design included power, telecom, fire alarm, HVAC coordination, lighting, and site lighting.

Alameda East Veterinary Clinic

Alameda East Veterinary Clinic

Location: Aurora, CO
Type: Veterinary Clinic

This veterinary clinic is approximately 21,000 square feet and is located in Aurora, Colorado. The surgeons and doctors in this facility have been featured on local and national television programs as well as on Animal Planet. Electrical design included power, lighting, telecom, fire alarm, HVAC support, and electrical support for specialized veterinary equipment.

Type: Call Center

Security Central is a 15,000 square foot facility used as a call center for alarm systems. New construction around 2002-2003. Electrical design included power, lighting, telecom, fire alarm, and HVAC support.

Buckley Air Force Base

Buckley Air Force Base

Location: Aurora, CO
Type: Data Center & Offices

Electrical designs were provided for a large aerospace data facility (Buckley Air Force Base, approximately 1,000,000 square feet). Designs included power, fire alarm, lighting, and telecom, for office and data center area remodels. Electrical engineering support was also provided for the data center mission as needed. Support duties included power system studies, breaker coordination studies, transient event analyses, harmonics analyses, and other engineering tasks as needed.
